Dinner for five was nice. Staff were friendly and service was good. We tried an assortment of dishes and they were all a step above what I was accustomed to. Menu prices were above what I am used to paying as well. When paying the check I could not understand why the cost of this meal was so much more than I anticipated. I paid, leaving what I considered to be a very nice tip for the server. Later on, I looked and then saw in small print on the bottom of the check an additional service charge of twenty percent had been added! I was not told, nor did I see anything about this fleecing on the menu. Including this "service charge" my tip amounted to about 35%. That leaves a bad bad taste long after remembering a good meal. For this reason alone I would not return to this Canton Cooks.

Love this place. My goto for Chinese. I've tried so many dishes and none have disappointed.

I’ve been coming here for 20+ years and I’m finally adding my review. I have not eaten here for quite a while but decided to stop by after hearing about the ownership change. Unfortunately, over the years, the quality of food has been steadily declining. I had my usual which is General Tsao’s chicken. It was actually pretty good and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s nothing like how it was even 10 years ago but not that bad. I feel like the portion was a little smaller but it could be just me. I no longer come here very often but it’s good to know that I can stop by without much apprehensions.

Best Chinese food in Atlanta, hands down. Consistently delicious. (I am Chinese) House fried rice is delicious including Chinese sausage. Salt and pepper pork chops are amazing and the jalapeños give them a perfect kick. Green beans with minced pork or beef, delicious. Calamari is perfectly seasoned and also delicious! Pictures are from two separate dinners there. I honestly don’t think you can go wrong ordering anything on the menu. We will certainly be back soon to try more of the menu, along with our favorites listed above. Enjoy!

Excellent egg Rolls, crab Rangoon and pot stickers! Kids love this place and ask to go twice a week. Very large menu. Quick and reasonably priced. We go almost weekly at every opportunity :)

Friday night family dinner was excellent! We had 7 people and it was great for sharing. Everything was awesome! Fresh seafood. Great flavors! We had pan fried sole and sea bass, seafood chow mein, clams in black bean sauce, salt and pepper calamari, snow peas, chicken wings, crab ragoon and dragon soup. Everything was delicious!! It was a ton of food and great for sharing. Friendly service. Very helpful and happy to explain what things were. Even let us order off menu. I will definitely be back! They are open later too.
